BONDING
Cracked mortar joints are chased out , Crack bonded by injection with Epoxy Resin grout to just below the surface and then repointed to match.
We have tested the resin between bricks and the result is a bond stronger than the original brick. The bricks do not need to compress the resin to create a bond, the resin expands very slightly on curing and applies slight pressure to all brick surfaces above and below the joints to ensure an excellent bond.
Cracks are dealt with in by a combination of "Helibeam" ,"Helibar"and Crack Bonding
Stainless
steel HELICAL reinforcements are introduced into the brick joints which laterally
spread the loads to wider areas beyond the crack forming independent reinforced
brick beams and strengthening brickwork panel. You could liken this to the difference
between plain concrete and reinforced concrete.
Often
Helibeam is used to provide support to failed or missing lintels as a less intrusive
and cheaper option to installing new lintel.
